GE Appliances products come with an initial manufacturer’s warranty. The warranty period is typically one year. Some appliances may offer additional manufacturer warranty coverage for specific parts or components beyond the first year.

The specific details of the warranty for your appliance are found in the Owner’s Manual for your model. Always consult the Owner’s Manual for the model you own for details about the initial manufacturer’s warranty coverage, as well as how to make a warranty claim and/or schedule warranty service.

Manufacturer’s Warranty

The manufacturer’s appliance warranty coverage begins with the date of purchase. Your appliance’s serial number shows the month and year it was manufactured, and is used to determine warranty when there is no proof of purchase or ownership of the appliance.

Proof of Purchase

The sales invoice, a letter from the builder, or other proof of occupancy validates the purchase date.

When proof of purchase or ownership is not available, the manufacturing date of the appliance will be used to determine the age of the appliance and warranty period for the appliance.
